The Democratic Republic of Congo have gained four places on the latest Coca Cola FIFA World Rankings released for the month of January.
The Leopards moved to 12th place on the continent and 63rd in the world according to the latest rankings released from Zurich this Thursday.
This movement comes after the Leopards’ decent performances at the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast where Sebastien Desabre’s side reached the semi-finals and narrowly missed out on third-place.
Meanwhile, the two-time African champions have since leapfrog ahead both Cape Verde and Ghana, ranked 13th and 14th respectively.
Morocco (12th in the world) continues to occupy top spot on the continent with Senegal (17th in the world) and AFCON runner-ups Nigeria (28th in the world) in second and third place respectively.
