The DR Congo women’s national team have entered the top 15 countries’ ranking on the continent following the latest FIFA rankings released for the month of May.
The Leopards Dames’ recent fine performances have seen them move four places ahead into 14th position in Africa and 102nd place globally on the latest ranking released on Friday June 14, 2024.
This significant progress comes even after the Leopards Dames lost twice to Morocco in international friendlies last month.
Already this year, the Leopards Dames qualified for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco for the first time since 2012.
