MOPAO SUMMONED: Koffi Olomide Interrogated for Over Two at CSAC Offices After Sensitive Remarks Against Govt

Rhumba music icon Koffi Olomide today appeared before the authorities at the Higher Council for Audiovisual and Communication (CSAC) offices in Kinshasa where he was summoned following his recent remarks about government and its response to the insecurities in the eastern part of the country.

On Tuesday morning appeared on national television (RTNC) where Koffi criticized government for its complicity towards responding to the aggression perpetrated by the M23 rebels in the east.

The multi-award winning music legend was called up by authorities to state his reasons for uttering words which government claims are likely to discourage the soldiers who are at war front in the east.

Koffi Olomide arrived at the CSAC offices at 10am and only left the premises after a two-and-half hour long interrogation that was also attended by senior officers from the security forces.

Jessy Kabasele, the host of “La Panier” on RTNC where Koffi Olomide shared his sentiments has been fired with immediate following an order by Minister of Communication Patrick Muyaya.
