STOP SCAPEGOATS: Katumbi Lashes At Tshisekedi Over Kivu Horror, “Governance Is About Mobilizing Energies, Not Creating False Plots”

Opposition Ensemble pour la République president Moise Katumbi has described the massacre of over 50 people at the hands of CODECO rebels in North-East Congo as an absolute horror.

In an indirect jab at President Felix Tshisekedi who is holding Katumbi’s special advisor Salomon Kalonda, Katumbi says the massacre of 50 innocent people at Mahagi could be better handled if the government was focused.

“My condolences to the families. Governing the #RDC requires above all mobilizing the energies to restore the authority of the State instead of looking for scapegoats, inventing false plots & living in
self-satisfaction,” he said on twitter yesterday.

The false plot Katumbi should be referring to is the scheme by Tshisekedi and his team to falsely charge the opposition leader with allegations of colluding with Rwanda to overthrow the government.
