TURKEY: Yannick Bolasie Maintains Fine Form, Scores Double To Inspire Rizespor To Win

Congolese international winger Yannick Bolasie continued his scintillating performances this season as he helped his side Çaykur Rizespor to a 4-2 win over Tuzlaspor in a Turkish second-tier match played last Sunday.

The 33-year old English-born winger was in the starting eleven for Rizespor and scored twice in the first-half at the Çaykur Didi Stadium to steer Rizespor to an important victory as they look to gain promotion into the Turkish Super Lig.

Bolasie opened the floodgates in the 15th minute before stretching Rizespor’s lead with another strike in the 27th minute after being set up by Turkish teammate Sinan Osmanoğlu.

Rizespor went into the break holding a comfortable three-nil lead thanks to the former Crystal Palace and Everton star’s brace as well as Benhur Keser’s goal at the stroke of half-time.

In the second-half, Bolasie was replaced at hour mark as Rizespor looked to seal their victory to maintain second spot on the league table in the Turkish second-tier.

Bolasie’s brace on Sunday saw him take his goal tally this season to an impressive 17 goals and is Rizespor’s top scorer this season.

Meanwhile, French-born midfielder Gianelli Imbula, who is also a Congolese international, also took part in the match for Tuzlaspor.

Imbula was in the starting line-up for 12th placed Tuzlaspor and was only withdrawn in the 76th minute.
