President Felix Tshisekedi has has created a false narrative against opposition leader Moise Katumbi’s special advisor Salomon Kalonda Della accusing him of plotting to overthrow his government with the help of the M23 rebels.
Tshisekedi has ordered his security agencies to slap Salomon with trumped up treason charges so that he is imprisoned with the aim of targeting Ensemble pour la République president Moise Katumbi.
Colonel Ngodi Ngodi held a press briefing today at which he announced false links involving Salomon and the Ensemble pour la République opposition party with Rwanda.
The unfounded allegations evidently shows a plot that aims at linking Katumbi to a false coup de etat of Tshisekedi in a bid by the Head of State to eliminate his feared opponent from the presidential race billed for December 20, 2023.
Six days after kidnapping Salomon at the Ndjili International Airport in Kinshasa, the military intelligence faced the public today amid pressure of holding him without charge and preventing his family, doctors and friends from visiting him at a military location known as DEMIAP.
Col. Ngodi claimed “On May 20, during the opposition demonstration, Mr. Salomon Kalonda Idi Della was carrying a firearm. This military effect had fallen into a scuffle with the elements of the police who quickly picked it up and seized it. It is a 9 mm pistol CTN 33304646.”
In an interview with Jeune Afrique a few days ago, Moise Katumbi described the allegations which were filtering from Tshisekedi’s camp as false and baseless.
Chief government spokesman Patrick Muyaya featured on a French TV channel and accused Katumbi of not condemning the Rwanda aggression through M23.
Videos of interviews of Katumbi condemning Rwanda and Uganda have been shared online exposing the falsehoods Tshisekedi and his officials are desperately fronting.
