Former Minister of State, Employment and Social Security in the Joseph Kabila regime, Néné Nkulu Ilunga has been abducted by agents from the National Intelligence Agency (ANR) as per order by President Fèlix Tshisekedi.
Nkulu was taken into hostage on Thursday by ANR agents who have seized all of her phones and all other means of communication.
On Friday night, Nkulu was transferred to a local hospital as she is heavily pregnant and her health deteriorated owing to the poor conditions in the dungeons of the ANR.
However she remains in under strict surveillance of the ANR as instructed by Tshisekedi is targeting arrest of all allies of the former president Kabila and activists of human rights and democracy.
Meanwhile, Nkulu’s husband, Christian Numbi, former provincial director of the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) of Haut-Lomami, also remains in the ANR’s custody.
Numbi was arrested on 5th December, 2023 at N’djili International Airport and taken to an undisclosed location by ANR agents.
He has since then not being allowed to speak or meet his lawyers or his family with his pregnant wife also now captured by Tshisekedi.
