The Democratic Republic of Congo’s popular opposition leader Moïse Katumbi is still waiting to for the Congolese Aviation Authorities’ response to his request for authorization to fly with his private jet Kinshasa.
Katumbi has submitted his request to fly to Kinshasa where he intends to attend his former party spokesperson Cherubin Okende’s burial set for Wednesday in Kinshasa.
However the request that has been on the aviation authorities’ table since last Friday has not been approved despite the jet meeting all required standards.
The aviation authorities have been handed strict order by top government officials to deny Katumbi flight access in the DR Congo.
