MISUSE OF DONOR FUNDS: Opposition Writes IMF & World To Audit Extended Credit Facility

Four opposition leaders have written Brentwood Institutions to audit the Extended Credit Facility (FBC) to establish whether funds allocated to the Democratic Republic of Congo have been applied for intended use.

Martin Fayulu, Moise Katumbi, Delly Sesanga and Augustin Matata Mponyo have asked International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the African Development Bank to conduct an audit on the use of resources allocated under the agreement to improve the #IMF” Extended Credit Facility (FBC).

The quartet want all disbursements made in favor of the Democratic Republic of Congo and, in
particular, resources managed by the BCBCO to be accounted for in the interest of accountability and transparency.

“We ask that the results and conclusions of this audit be published in order to educate the Congolese people and the peoples and member countries on the management of public finances,” a letter signed by all the four opposition leader states.
