Congolese international striker Jonathan Bolingi and Buriram United have been crowned champions of Thailand following the conclusion of the Asian nation’s top-flight campaign.
Buriram were handed their 8th league crown on Thursday after overcoming Nakhon Ratchasima 4-0 at the Chang Arena.
Bolingi was in the starting line-up for Buriram against Ratchasima and played until the 51st minute when he was replaced.
Buriram won their 8th Thai League crown after finishing top with 74 points, beating second-placed Bangkok United by a 12 point margin.
Meanwhile, Bolingi and his Buriram teammates have the chance to take additional silverware as they take on rivals Bangkok United in the Thai Cup final to be played on May 28th.
Bolingi contributed five goals in 23 appearances this season for Buriram in the league title winning campaign.
The 28-year old former TP Mazembe star joined Buriram in 2021 from Belgian club Royal Antwerp for an undisclosed transfer fee.
