DR Congo champions TP Mazembe have arrived in the Tanzanian capital, Dar es Salaam, ahead of Sunday’s blockbuster African Football League first quarter-final encounter against Tunisian heavyweights Esperance Sportive des Tunis.
Mazembe have been forced to play their home match in the new continental competition after the Congolese government denied officials from CAF entry into the nation.
The five-time Champions League winners have since opted to host Esperance at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar where the team arrived on Wednesday.
A contingent of 35 including 19 players touched down at the Julius Nyerere International Airport at 19:00 hours aboard an Air Tanzania aircraft.
