President Felix Tshisekedi has continued to ignore the humanitarian crisis in the Kivu region where thousands of Congolese are hard hit by floods. Over 400 have died and nearly 5, 000 are still unaccounted.
After visiting Botswana and Namibia for SADC meetings, President Tshisekedi returned to Kinshasa and immediately connected to Congo Brazzaville where he will be for the next 48 hours.
The President arrived in Oyo, Congo Brazzaville for a 48-hour working visit starting on Saturday.
He says the visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
However, Tshisekedi has shown little or no care for his own people in the east where he has sent limited aid and refused to visit for a first hand experience of the extent of the devastation.
Private individuals and the International community have engaged in robust mobilization to render help to the people of Kahale which has been the most hit in the floods.
