Rwanda president Paul Kagame has responded to growing calls for protests against French President Emmanual Macron when he arrives in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Macron is due to arrive in the DRC early this month but youths aligning with the ruling party want to stage a protest for his alleged failure to condemn Rwanda’s invasion of eastern Congo using M23 rebels.
Kagame invited the Congolese population to protest against Congolese President Tshisekedi and the Congolese government.
“Protesters should not protest against Emmanuel Macron’s visit,” said Kagame, adding; “rather, they should start with President Felix Tshisekedi and his government, because they are the ones who are mismanaging their problem.”
Rwandan and Congo are now at loggerheads with Kagame and Tshisekedi going public over their differences.
