MORE ULTIMATUMS FOR TSHISEKEDI: Fèlix Tshisekedi Threatened By Own Party Members As Election Loss Beckons

Incumbent President Fèlix Tshisekedi is having a tough time in his bif for re-election with his own party members now begining to lose hope in his candidacy.

Kinshasa-based senior campaign communicators of Tshisekedi’s ruling Sacred Union party have joined the party’s council of new candidates in issuing a threat to de-campaign the president.

Following the new council of candidates’ stern statement to withdraw their support for Tshisekedi last week, the party campaign managers have also issued a 72 hour ultimatum to their own party leader to respond to their concerns or lose their backing.

The communicators have bemoaned the disorganization of the party’s campaigns and lack of financial support from the party hierarchy.

Over 50 Sacred Union campaign communicators gathered on Friday to express their fear of Tshisekedi and the party losing the 2023 General Elections to opposition candidate Moïse Katumbi.

Tshisekedi has so far had a torrid time on his campaign trail with electorates in the various regions he has visited having questioned his governance for its failure to account for public funds as well as several unfulfilled promises.
