[VIDEO] TSHISEKEDI’S BRUTALITY: Katumbi’s Special Advisor Denied Legal Access 72 Hours After Brutal, Arbitrary & Illegal Arrest

Opposition leader Moise Katumbi’s special advisor, Salomon Kalonda Della, has been denied legal representation and remains without charge in a military location in Kinshasa.

Salomon was kidnapped by President Felix Tshisekedi’s intelligence officers and army personnel on Tuesday as he attempted to board a plane to Lubumbashi. He was in the company of Ensemble pour la Republic (Together for the Republic) president Moise Katumbi and his entourage.

Lawyers representing Salomon, his friends and family members yesterday attempted to visit Salomon whose health is said to have deteriorated, yesterday attempted to visit him but were denied access.

The lawyers denounced the action by the state and security personnel holding Salomon to deny them access to their client as unconstitutional and illegal.

Government sources disclosed that they can only act when furnished with instructions by the presidency although government spokesperson Patrick Muyaya claims President Tshisekedi has nothing to do with the arrest of Salomon.

Ensemble pour la Republic spokesperson Olivier Kamitatu says Salomon has been, “held incommunicado, prevented from accessing his lawyers & his doctor, deprived of visits, on the evening of the 3rd day of his arrest, the information which filtered into the state of health of @SalomonKalonda are of great concern. Added to the illegality is the inhuman nature of the detention.”

The Spokesman person of the Ensemble says it is illegal and against human rights norms to continue holding Kalonda without access to legal representation.
