President Félix Tshisekedi has swalloed his words that opposed the exclusion of opposition leader Moise Katumbi from the 2018 contest describing the scheme as undemocratic and unjust.
Yet in 2013, Tshisekedi has sponsored two individuals that include Noel Tshiani to challenge the candidature of Katumbi on account of allegwd multiple nationalities.
A video showing Tshisekedi emphatically rejecting previous schemes to alienate Katumbi has surfaced online.
In the video, Tshisekedi says, “Democracy is my way of life, tolerance and acceptance of others.
“I can never consider Moise Katumbi as overshadowing me. In
democracy you cannot overshadow an
adversary.
“We must let Moïse Katumbi compete like everyone else. I believe that
he is a victim of injustice and I have always denounced what is happening.”
