[VIDEO] TAXI & BUS DRIVERS PROTEST TURN VIOLENT: Police & Soldiers Deployed To Quell Chaos

Police in Kinshasa have been deployed alongside military personnel to quell protests that have turned violent.

Taxi and bus drivers are protesting government red tape so they set tyres and other objects ablaze on the streets.

They have also withdrawn their vehicles and crippled the public service system.

On the avenue of November 24 of the UPN at the market of Selembao, no public transport was in sight.

Motorcycle and taxi drivers are on strike. They burned tires on the road so authorities deployed the police to calm the situation.
