[VIDEO] Free Salomon Kalonda: Population In Kambove Holds Solidarity March

For the 13th day, Salomon Kalonda, the special advisor for opposition Ensemble pour la République president Moise Katumbi is still held in Kinshasa without access to his lawyers, family or friends.

The population in the Democratic Republic of Congo is not happy with the arrest of Salomon which came on the back of an abduction at N’djili International Airport on May 30, 2022.

After being abducted by state agents, Salomon was the detained at DEMIAP but only charged on June 5, 2023 with false allegations of colluding with Rwanda in a bid to overthrow the government.

Observers have described the charges as politically motivated with the population holding protests across the country pressing for his release.

The population argue that Salomon’s human rights have been denied and therefore it was unconstitutional to continue holding him against their will.
