TURNING-TABLES: DRC Bid To Extend Winning Streak

After picking their first win in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers last weak, the Democratic Republic of Congo is looking to continue on song and revive their chances of making it to Ivory coast.

Sebastien Desabre’s team is bottom in Group I despite beating Mauritania 3-1 on Friday. Gabon leads the pool with seven points while Sudan is second on six points with Mauritania third on four points and the DRC stuck in fourth place with three points.

Tonight’s match at the Cheikha Boidiya Stadium in Nouakchott could see the DRC climb into second place before the final two matches are played in June and September.

Kick-off is set for 23:00 hours Kinshasa time. Two teams will qualify from each discipline where the creme dela creme compete for honours.
