TSHISEKEDI WANTS JOURNALIST JAILED FOR 20 YEARS: DRC President Seeks Insane Jail Term For Stanis Bujakera

DR Congo’s dictator president Fèlix Tshisekedi has ordered for a severe 20-year jail term to be slapped on journalist Stanis Bujakera who has been detained since September on false accusations.

Bujakera, a Reuters correspondent, was arrest at Kinshasa’s N’djili International Airport on 8th September on trumped up charges for publishing false information about the assassination of former Transport Minister Cherubin Okende.

After being denied multiple requests for his provisional release, the public office has now has now ordered the High Court to serve Bujakera demanded an insane 20 years of principal criminal servitude against Bujakera.

Bujakera has been accused of spreading and disseminating false information in an article published by the Jeune Afrique and included revelations that had implicated the state military intelligence in the death of Okende who was assassinated by Tshisekedi and his ANR agents.
