Kinshasa Governor, Gentiny Ngobila, acting on orders from President Felix Tshisekedi yesterday order that the opposition could not stage their protest march in Kinshasa.
Ngobila asked the Moise Katumbi, Martun Fayulu, Delly Sesanga and Augustin Matata Mapon led movement to postpone the meeting scheduled for this today.
Ngobila claimed the route and date conflicted with another procession and as such opposition members from ECIDE, LGD, ENVOL and Ensemble pour la République parties would not conform to the dictates of procession.
But the opposition have said the switch has nothing to do with another procession. Matata says it just manifests the latest dictatorship under Tshisekedi.
The quartet have since set June 24 as new date for their protest march in Kinshasa.
