THIEVING PRESIDENT: Congolese Tells Tshisekedi, “You Have Failed To Build Even A Pit-Latrine In Lisala, And You Come To Ask For Our Vote. How?”

It’s hard being President Felix Tshisekedi on the campaign trail of the 2023 presidential election in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

In trying to show a soft side of a listening president, Tshisekedi invited a member of the crowd for an interaction while in Lisala, an area near Gbadolite.

The worst he would have anticipated happened. The head of state was virtually called a thief who had failed to even construct a pit latrine for the people of Lisala.

Much to the delight of the crowd. They welcomed the open rebuke of Tshisekedi with applause.

But it struck into the campaign of the head of state who has struggled countrywide to convince the people he means well therefore deserves a second mandate.
