Having so far managed to successfully defeat the Congolese army (FARDC) and its supporting missions, the Congo River Alliance (AFC) and M23 Rebel Group political-military coalition leader Corneille Nangaa is now moving to gain popularity amongst the locals in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
Nangaa has been seen moving around markets and other public places interacting with locals in areas where the AFC/M23 fighters have managed to seize from the defenseless FARDC.
He has so far been handed received warmly in the territories of North Kivu Province where the citizens now consider him to be their liberator.
Nangaa has vowed to continue fighting the indiscriminate and illegitimate government of Fèlix Tshisekedi who has lost the people’s trust in eastern DRC after cheating his way back into power in the catastrophic 2023 elections.
While Tshisekedi spends his time flying out from one country to another, Nangaa takes time to listen to the people’s sufferings and strategize to gain even more power over the Congolese authorities in the east.
