TAKING POSITION: M23 Coming With Full Force – DRC East Commander

A high ranking DRC soldier has cautioned that the country should be ready to contain M23 rebels who are regrouping to launch a fiece attack.

Jeff Nyagey says the Congolese army has spotted the presence of M23 in Kibumba, Rutshuru and Bunagana.

“After their retreat, there are still 180 elements in the mountains close to Rwanda in
Kibumba are. We are monitoring 30 M23 in Rutshuru,” says Nyagah.

He admitted that the M23 rebels still control the Bunagana border.

M23 are said to be backed by Rwanda and has caused misery in East Congo.
