SUCCESSFUL ENTRY: DR Congo Men’s Handball Team Beat Benin in African Games Opener

The DR Congo Men’s Handball National Team began their 2023 African Games tournament run on a positive note as they defeated Benin with a score of 37-31 in Accra, Ghana.

Entering the competition at the preliminary round, the Leopards top Group A following their victory on Wednesday pending the outcome of the match between Ghana and Kenya.

The Leopards will next face hosts Ghana on Friday with victory assuring the team of qualification into next round of the tournament even before facing Kenya in their final match set for Sunday.

Meanwhile in the women’s category, the DR Congo side are due to face Mali in their opening match set for this Thursday night in the Ghanaian capital.
