STADE DE MARTYRS STILL BANNED: CAF Excludes Kinshasa Stadium From Eligible Venues

CAF has maintained that the Stade de Martyrs will remain inelligible to host FIFA and CAF matches.

Despite the absence of the Leopards in the fifth round of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, the Stade de Martyrs stadium will remain unusable according to the new list published by CAF.

The imposing 80,000-seater stadium is not mentioned in the list of stadiums pre-approved by CAF for the round five matches of the AFCON qualifiers, which will be held in almost a month.

So far, the DRC only have Stade de Mazembe stadium as the only approved facility that meets FIFA standards.
