SENATOR MOPAO: Koffi Olomide Presents Candidacy in Senatorial Elections

Antoine Christophe Agbepa Mumba, best known professionally as Koffi Olomide, has confirmed he will file to run in the upcoming Senatorial Elections of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Koffi Olomide is set to contest for the South-Ubangi Constituency on the Alliance des Forces Démocratiques du Congo (AFDC) party ticket.

On Saturday, the multi-hit singer-song writer confirmed his candidacy in the upcoming senate elections after convening with AFDC party leader Modeste Bahati Lukwebo.

The deadline filing of nominations for the Senatorial Elections has been set for 1st March, 2024 with the “Grande Mopao” expected to file his candidacy in the next few days.

Agbepa Mumba (67) is widely regarded as one of the most significant figures in 20th-century Congolese and African popular music.
