Opposition Ensemble Pour la Republique President Moïse Katumbi has denied claims by politician Jacky Ndala that the opposition leader is a direct enemy of President Fèlix Tshisekedi.
Jacky Ndala, a former Youth League President in the opposition who recently defected to Tshisekedi’s Sacred Union party, claimed that there was a tribal enemities between Katumbi and Tshisekedi.
Speaking on behalf of Katumbi, Francis Kalombo, the spokesperson for the opposition leader, clarified that Katumbi is not a tribalist and emphasizes he and Tshisekedi are not enemies but political adversaries.
“The departure of Jacky Ndala from Ensemble pour la République is a non-event. However, I must clarify that Moïse Katumbi is not a tribalist. He works with everyone. President Félix Tshisekedi and Moïse Katumbi are not enemies but rather political adversaries. Moïse Katumbi is against the way in which the country is managed by the Union Sucree (Union Sacrée), but he is not a direct enemy of President Félix Tshisekedi. Although an opponent, Moïse Katumbi cannot insult the Head of State”, Francis Kalombo indicated.
Kalombo indicted the divergence between Tshisekedi and Katumbi lies more in the way in which the Sacred Union is managing the country lightly.
