Incumbent President Fèlix Tshisekedi is tomorrow due to file in his nomination file as bids for re-election in the 20 December 2023 Presidential Election.
Tshisekedi’s filing in of nomination scheduled for Saturday in Kinshasa has raised concerns and anxiety following a shocking revelation that the Republican President had submitted a forged academical document last time out in 2018 when he was elected as President.
The Belgian Institute of Commercial Careers (ICC) denied having issued Tshisekedi’s Degree in “Marketing & Communication” which he is thought to have obtained in the academic year 1990-1991 and had submitted in his nomination file ahead of the 2018 polls.
The outcome of Tshisekedi’s filing in of his nomination tomorrow promises to raise eyebrows in the DRC.
The Congolese electoral commission CENI have demanded for Presidential Candidates to attach original copies of their particulars that also includes the minimum academic qualification to successfully log in their candidatures.
