NO FALLY IPUPA VS. FERRE GOLA AT IX FRANCOPHONE GAMES: Dicap La Merville Withdraws From Games Closing Ceremony

Popular Congolese music icon Fally Ipupa has announced his decision to withdraw from performing at the closing ceremony of the 2023 IX Francophone Games set for Sunday.

After an astonishing act at the opening ceremony held at Pentecost Martyrs Stadium last week, Fally Ipupa was due to lit up the stage once again on Sunday to close the sports festival.

However, the multi-hit maker has communicated he will not appear at the ceremony raising debate over the reported rift between him and fellow music star Ferré Gola who recently confirmed his presence at the event.

“My musical vision leads me to decline my participation in the closing ceremony of this event and to give up my place, in order to contribute to the discovery, as well as the highlighting of what is the cultural and artistic diversity of my country” Fally Ipupa wrote on his social network platforms.

It is said that Fally Ipupa had been prompted to withdraw his presence at the closing ceremony following the confirmation of his rival, Ferré Gola’s scheduled performance at the event.
