NO ELECTIONS IF: Kabila’s Spokesperson Says DRC Will Not Go To The Polls Under Current Process

Former president Joseph Kabila’s spokesperson, Barbara Nzimbi, says the current electoral process under the leader of President Felix Tshisekedi is flawed and cannot guarantee a credible election outcome.

Nzimbi says instability, a compromised voter register and a questionable Constitutional Court are all ingredients of a chaotic electiom process.

“Today more than ever, the facts demonstrate that Joseph Kabila remains a great visionary.

“[There will be] no elections without stability of the security situation, without a reworked Electoral Law (#CENI), without a credible Constitutional Court.

“Let’s follow the guide … Whose turn is it?,” Nzimbi stated.

This was after top opposition leader Martin Fayulu boycotted the December 20, 23 polls citing gross irregularities.

Kabila, who ruled DRC for 18 years, was forced not to seek a fourth mandate by the population leading to an arranged presidency he passed on to Tshisekedi.
