The Democratic Republic of Congo capital Kinshasa will this Wednesday host the launch of the Africa-France DRC Entrepreneurship Community on the sidelines of the 8th edition of the French week.
This initiative has been created by the French Embassy in Kinshasa via the Franco-Congolese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIF).
The official launch will be held at the Congo lounge in the Pullman hotel in Kinshasa.
The objective of this new co-operation is to raise the level of economic exchanges between the DRC and France.
CCIF President Bertrand Bisengimana said this initiative would spur development considering the economic potential of the two countries.
“In our opinion, these volumes are insufficient. The chamber of commerce can play an important role in increasing the volume of trade. I believe that we are not well known enough among French companies in France. One of the first challenges of French Week is to give more economic visibility to France in the DRC ,” he explained.
The Franco-Congolese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIF) was created in 1987 and plays the role of the interface between French and Congolese companies.
It offers more visibility to French companies wishing to invest in the DRC.
