MUKWENGE DISAPPOINTED: Opposition Candidate Let Down By Congolese Population For “Allowing Itself To Enslaved” With 2023 Elections Outcome

Regarded as one of the popular opposition candidates to challenge for the presidency, the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate has remained silent after a disappointing outcome in the election.

Losing independent presidential candidate Dr. Dénis Mukwenge has been reported to be disappointed with the Congolese population’s reaction to the recently concluded presidential election in which incumbent Fèlix Tshisekedi was fraudulently declared the winner.

Tshisekedi was re-elected with an illogical 73% margin in the election that was littered with plenty of irregularities and shambolically organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI).

Having issued no official statement since the release of the provisional results, Mukwenge has now been quoted by French media outlet Le Monde whom he spoke with through his collaborators.

“I did my part, the people people decided otherwise, I respect their directions. But people who allow themselves to be corrupted, people who do not denounce injustices and who applaud their executioners without resisting their tyrannies, are complicit in their slavery and should bear the consequences” Mukwenge said.

Mukwenge came sixth (6th) in the presidential race following results released by CENI after obtaining just 39,728 votes representing a 0.22% score.
