KATUMBI IN FRONT: Election Supervisory Body Ranks Katumbi Ahead of Tshisekedi In Latest Pre-Election Stats

The Commission Africaine pour la Supervision des Élections (CASE), an independent elections supervision body, has ranked opposition common candidate Moïse Katumbi ahead of incumbent Fèlix Tshisekedi and other candidates in the latest pre-election campaign statistics gathered.

In a statement released by CASE on Friday, Katumbi leads the pile ahead of the other presidential candidates in the ongoing campaign period with regards to mobilization, logistics as well as popularity.

The statistics collected 11 days since the official opening of the campaign period have seen Katumbi take an overwhelming lead on the trail despite having been rated as the most victimized candidate during the campaigns.

In terms of mobilization, Katumbi tops the list with 78% rating compared to Tshisekedi, ranked second, with a 49% rating while opposition leader Martin Fayulu is ranked third with a rating of 32%.

Despite his overwhelming lead, Katumbi has been identified by CASE as the candidate who has been widely victimized and disadvantaged in reference to several incidents including the killing of one of his party supporters during the campaigns.

The CASE statistics are the latest to tip Katumbi as the leading candidate following several other opinion polls by reputable institutions ahead of the 20 December 2023 General Elections.
