Opposition Ecide president Martin Fayulu’s car was struck with stones and his windshield shattered as he arrived in President Felix Tshisekedi’s stronghold of Grand Kasai.
Although Fayulu’s motorcade endured a scare, an impressive turnout characterized his rally which rallied him as he addressed the gathering.
The population in Tshikapa which Tshisekedi hopes to capitalise on to get 100 vote complained of being abandoned by the regime.
They said they don’t have clean water, electricity and food as they cheered Fayulu on.
The signs are not too good for the ruling party candidate.
Tomorrow, Fayulu heads to Kananga for another meeting in Tshisekedi’s territory.
