Former ruling party presidential candidate Emmanuel Ramazani Shadary says the opposition meeting in Lubumbashi was a progressive idea.
Shadary, a high ranking member of PPRD, which is former president Joseph Kabila’s organization, says they agree with the idea which brought together heavyweights in Moise Katumbi, Martin Fayulu, Delly Sesanga and Augustin Matata Mponyo.
“We completely agree with what they said from beginning to end. They repeated what we already said. The content is the same as ours. They met as four, tomorrow it will be five or six. You’ll see when we have more things to tell you, we’ll be together,” said Shadary.
The opposition in DRC is working modalities to go into the December 20, 2023 presidential election with a single candidate to challenge incumbent President Felix Tshisekedi.
