HEART FOR DEVELOPMENT: Katumbi Revamps Abandoned School In Mbandaka

Lossanganya School Complex in Bokotola territory of Mbandaka in Équateur Province built in 1979 had been abandoned for decades with the facility left dilapidated owing to lack of maintenance.

However, the school has now been revamped thanks to the passion for development of Moïse Katumbi who has financed the rehabilitation of the school.

During his recent visit of Mbandaka, Katumbi also visited the school to check on the successful facelift that the school has undergone.

Thanks to the efforts of Katumbi, the school now boasts of a solar lighting facility, a computer room, three football pitches, a basketball court as well as a wallfence to ensure security of the school going children who have been handed renewed hope and desire to study.

Residents in the area have since praised Katumbi’s efforts to renovate the Lossanganya School as part of his continued desire to develop the DR Congo.

“Our children can now study in a good environment thanks to Papa Katumbi, may God remember him for a long time” a resident of Mbandaka says in a video footage.
