HANDBALL: DR Congo Handed Rights to Host Africa Cup

The DR Congo has been selected to host the 26th edition of the 2024 Senior Women’s Handball Africa Cup of Nations.

This comes after the Cape Verde, initially selected to organize the tournament, gave up its hosting rights.

The continental competition organized by the Confederation of African Handball (CAHB) is set to take place in November, 2024 in Kinshasa.

The DR Congo women’s handball team will be making its 13th appearance and look to come out victorious on homesoil having failed win the tournament since their debut appearance in 1992.

Angola are the current holders of the CAHB Africa Cup of Nations after their triumph at the 25th edition held in Dakar, Senegal back in 2021.
