DIPLOMATIC MEETING: Didier Reynders Meets Katumbi In Lubumbashi

European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders this morning convened with leading opposition Ensemble Pour la Republique President Moïse Katumbi in Lubumbashi where the two discussed political matters in the DR Congo ahead of the December Presidential Polls.

Reynders who arrived in Lubumbashi from Kinshasa where he also held talks with other opposition leaders, engaged Katumbi in a crucial political dialogue as part of his mission to explore prospects for stability and democracy in the DR Congo.

During this meeting, Reynders and Katumbi exchanged views on various serious political matters focused on political stability, democratic governance, human rights and respect for the rule of law.

Meanwhile, the leaders also discussed the ongoing matters affecting the electoral process in the lead up to the elections in December.

Reynders who met Martin Fayulu, another opposition leader, in Kinshasa prior to his arrival in Lubumbashi also set to meet and hold talks with other leaders including Matata Ponyo Mapon and Delly Sesanga.
