Multi-talented Democratic Republic of Congo music art Fally Ipupa has arrived in neighbouring Congo Brazzaville capital ahead of his much anticipated concert set to be staged at the iconic Adolphe Massamba-Debat Stadium on Saturday.
Business in Brazzaville came to a halt on Friday afternoon as the award-winning DR Congo music star paraded the streets upon arrival ahead of the show that promises to attract a record breaking crowd on Saturday.
The concert has widely anticipated to be one of the most attended in country’s history as predicted by the huge crowd that turned up to catch a glimpse of the “Dicap la Merville” parade the streets of Brazzaville on Friday.
Also, several people around the neighbouring also said to have made their way into Brazzaville to be part of the festivities on Saturday.
Speaking in an interview ahead of his grand show, Fally Ipupa said he was anticipating a close to capacity crowd at the 33,000 seater sports stadium and promised fans a spectacular show on Saturday.
“We perform in a stadium to refuel, nothing else. If it was just an ordinary concert, we would have done in a nightclub or a field. As the Adolphe Massamba Débat stadium has 33,000 seats, I have to come with at least 20,000 people. My goal is to please the fans but also to see people,” said Fally Ipupa.
The legendary African music art will perform in the neighbouring Congo Brazzaville for the very first time on Saturday.
