The Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) has granted a 10-day extension for the registration exercise Operational Area 3 (AO3).
CENI deputy rapporteur Paul Muhindo says the decision was arrived at after wide consultation in view of the challenges encountered.
“In order to preserve the inclusive nature of the operations in progress, the CENI once again grants a catch-up period of ten (10) days, extending from April 2 to 11, 2023. This will allow any Congolese who fulfills the conditions required to obtain the voter’s card and to appear on the electoral list to do so,” said Muhindo in a statement.
