There was drama at Lubumbashi’s Katuba polling station on Monday as some agents of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) were caught in possession of opposition candidate Moïse Katumbi’s ballot papers.
The thieving CENI agents had concealed the ballots that they were to burn before they were caught by the Police.
Police in Lubumbashi were alerted by the Observation Mission agents of the scheme to steal Katumbi’s votes and replace them with those of Tshisekedi.
It is the latest election rigging scam arranged by CENI to disadvantage Katumbi in order to secure victory for incumbent Fèlix Tshisekedi.
So far CENI’s arranged polls have been littered with plenty of irregularities and cheating manouvres that have favoured Tshisekedi who currently holds an unthinkable and insane figures that do not correspond with the actual numbers.
A number of civil society groups and international Observers have since called for the annulation of the election due to the various anomalies that have characterized the vote.
