BACK ON THE FIELD: Congolese Striker Jonathan Bolingi Expected Back After Recovering From Poisoning

Serbia-based Congolese international striker Jonathan Bolingi is expected to return to training after recovering from poisoning which kept him out of action for six months.

Bolingi was left hospitalized last September in his Serbian base after returning from Kinshasa where was suspectedly poisoned.

The FC Vojvodina striker was left in a critical condition and spent days battling for his life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

However, the former TP Mazembe and Standard Liege centre-forward has since recovered well and was spotted in a gym, working on his muscles, as part of an individual training session, before joining his teammates for group training.

He is expected to join Vojvodina in full training in the next few days after being given handed medical greenlight to return to the field.

Before his ailment, Bolingi had scored 2 goals in 6 matches played this season for Vojvodina who currently occupy 6th place on the Serbian top-flight table with 29 points after 21 matches played.
