DR Congo national team head coach Sebastien Desabre has named a strong 25-man squad for this month’s upcoming Group B 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Sudan and Mauritania.
The Frenchman has welcomed back experienced Real Betis striker Cedric Bakambu who had been on the sidelines for a lengthy period.
Bakambu has since returned to action with fine form having registered two goals and two assists in 7 games, all competitions combined for Betis.
Brentford star Yoane Wissa, currently in form with 13 goals in 24 games played in the Premier League, also headlines the roaster alongside the likes of captain Chancel Mbemba, Theo Bongonda, and Samuel Moutossamy most notably.
The Leopards will face South Sudan on March 21st in Kinshasa before traveling to take on the Mourabitounes of Mauritania on March 25th in Nouakchott.
Currently third in Group B with 7 points, the Leopards must collect victories in both matches to to stay in the race for qualification for the World Cup.
