Congolese attacker Heritier Luvumbu has re-joined Kinshasa giants AS Vita Club as a free agent following his unceremonious departure from Rwandan club Rayon Sport earlier this month.
The 29-year old was put pen to paper with Vita on Wednesday at a signing ceremony held at the club’s headquarters in Kinshasa.
Luvumbu had his contract was terminated by Rayon for making a gesture to protest against Rwanda’s aggression amidst growing tensions in eastern DR Congo.
Congolese athletes across the world have been making similar gestures to condemn the silence of the international community in the face of the aggression of the M23 Rebels in the east who are said to be supported by the Rwandan government.
