WOMEN’S SOCCER CUP: Mazembe To Face Bweremena In Final

Congolese Feminine League heavyweights FCF Mazembe have qualified for the final of the Congo Women’s Cup and will meet DC Bweremena of North-Kivu.

The Lubumbashi-based Mazembe queens edged town rivals FCF Lupopo 1-0 in the semi-finals played at the TP Mazembe Stadium in Kamalondo on Friday.

A goal in the first-half Justine Bosso in the 21st minute steered Mazembe, coached Moroccan Lamia Boumehdi, in the final of the 14th edition of the Congolese Women’s Cup.

Mazembe will now face Bweremena who qualified for the final after beating DC Motema Pembe 4-3 on penalties last Wednesday in Lubumbashi.

The final of the Congolese Women’s Cup is scheduled to be played tomorrow, Sunday 25 June at the TP Mazembe Stadium.
