VOTE RIGGING: Suspected Ruling Party Official Nabbed With 300 Voter’s Cards

A man has been arrested outside Kinshasa with over 300 voter’s card.

The suspected is said to be a supporter of the ruling party who is part of the scheme planning to rig the elections on December, 2023.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) announced Wednesday the arrest by the Congolese national police of a man who had been in possession a batch of 300 blank voter cards from the territory of Masimanimba in the province of the Kwilu.

“The Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) informs public opinion that the Congolese National Police (PNC) apprehended on Wednesday, February 08, 2023 in Kinshasa, an individual in possession of 300 blank voter cards, from of the territory of Masimanimba in the province of Kwilu”,

On this occasion, the CENI informs the public that it has terminated the contractual services of some of its executives and agents for undermining the integrity of the electoral process.
