Outgoing DRC President Fèlix Tshisekedi has once again exposed his lack of vision to lead the country after failing to spell out his vision and the plans he has to end the ongoing war in the east.
After five years in power, Tshisekedi has no single success recorded in ending the war in the eastern part of the DRC and hence can only spend the entire time laying accusing fingers over the violence on others during his campaign trail.
At a night rally in Kananga of Kasai Province on Wednesday, Tshisekedi exhausted his entire time on the podium accusing and linking opposition rivals to be part or responsible for the war.
“You know well that the enemies have declared war on us, especially in the East. The great enemy by the name of Paul Kagame has declared war on us. If we are not vigilant, he risks taking our country,” Tshisekedi said.
Instead of providing solutions to end the devastating violence, Tshisekedi has made the war in the east a subject of his campaign by apportioning blame but not taking responsibility.
Thousands of people in the war-torn provinces of North Kivu, South Kivu and Ituri continue to die and languish amidst the ongoing violence after being neglected by Tshisekedi who still cannot give them the slightest of hope.
