As a compassionate and humane leader, Moise Katumbi, president of Ensemble, was in war ravaged Beni on Saturday.
Like everywhere he has been in East Congo since the start of campaigns for the December 20, 2023 presidential election, he pulled another massive crowds.
He walked side by side with locals and survivors of the war. Katumbi held a meeting in the main
town of the territory in Oicha, where he empathized and sympathized with the population.
The former Katanga governor laid out his plan to end the war in the DRC.
Katumbi outlined:-
1. Build a strong, well equipped & remunerated army to defend the DRC against internal & external forces that will keep the country peaceful and secure.
2. Transform the police service into a well nourished, professional and effective ooerative to maintain peace and order.
3. Construct inter-city roads connecting Beni to the rest of the country.
4. Build agriculture capacity to harness the arable land in Beni that will ensure constant food supply for the population.
5. Ensure provision of electricity and clean water to the population.
Katumbi said his presidency will turn Beni from its sorrow days into the joy of the country.
