[VIDEO] DEMOCRACY MUST PREVAIL: Katumbi Urges Kinshasa Not To Provoke Population, “We Come In Peace, Let Democracy Prevail”

Ensemble pour la République president Moise Katumbi has urged Democratic Republic of Congo authorities not to provoke the population by tampering with his candidature using the Constitution Court.

Speaking when he addressed supporters at the party headquarters after being given a resounding welcome, Katumbi said authorities in Congo should allow democracy to prevail.

He cautioned those behind any machinations to exclude his candidature to be wary of the repercussions.

Katumbi said the people of Congo deserve to be given the leader they will choose in the December 20, 2023 presidential and legislative elections.

A petition sponsored by President Felix Tshisekedi and a clique of his kasai innec circle has been lodged before the Constitution Court to eliminate Katumbi for contesting the election.
